About Lemon Skunk

Lemon Skunk comes from DNA Genetics, which selected two Skunk phenotypes with a sharp lemon character and crossed them. The result is roughly 60% sativa and 40% indica, and it later became a parent of Lemon Haze and Super Lemon Haze.

The name describes the nose well. Broken buds give off a pungent skunk base with a tart lemon peel top note, backed by earthy undertones from myrcene and a peppery edge from caryophyllene. Limonene supplies the citrus.

Reported THC runs from 15% to 22%, with Leafly averaging near 19%. CBD is typically around or under 1%, with about 1% CBG in some tests. Commonly reported effects are happy, uplifted and euphoric, with dry mouth and dry eyes as the usual downsides. Because it is a Skunk descendant, the aroma is strong and tends to carry well beyond the jar, which is worth knowing before opening a bag.

Lemon Skunk lineage

Skunk #1 × Skunk #1 (two selected phenotypes), bred by DNA Genetics. Skunk #1 is the classic Skunk cross of Afghani, Acapulco Gold and Colombian genetics, and it is the parent behind Lemon Skunk’s pungent base. Lemon Skunk was selected from two Skunk phenotypes for their lemon-forward traits.
